God is moving...
Plans are coming together and we are praying earnestly for the Lord Jesus to send just the right people to us for leadership and for attending the conference. Women are coming together to pray, plan and prepare for this conference June 19-20. Cincinnati House of Prayer is going to be involved, as are numbers of leaders from various churches....Keep praying for God to awaken our hearts to His will...

Conference Fee is lower....
GOOD NEWS....we have decided to lower the conference fee to $10.oo per person, so more can come. So we are trusting that God will supply what we need to cover the modest expenses we will incur. Thank the Lord we have a great team of people organizing worship and prayer teams. We are all getting prayed up and ready...hope you are too...: )

name change/read beginning posts
THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE !!! [after I wrote it, I noted the date...: )]
It has come to my attention that the name"Wailing Women" has been used by another ministry in the United States with some ties to Cincinnati. In order not to cause any confusion or misunderstanding, I am changing the name of the conference. The name change may also make it clear that we are about PRAYER, not crying, though we may indeed shed some tears....
So to be clear - our NEW blogspot address is http://www.prayingwomencincinnati.blogspot.com/
and the June 19-20 conference is "Praying Women Conference".

Time: Friday: 7 p.m ; Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $10.00
Meals: We will be doing a liquids fast; bring your own juice/bottles; water dispensers are available as will be tea or coffee. If you cannot fast, feel free to bring snacks or a sandwich.

New Date for Conference...

Pending confirmation from Crossroads Church, the Wailing Women Conference will be held JUNE 19-20, 2009 at Crossroads Church, 3500 Madison Road (corner of Ridge and Madison in Oakley) 45209. Go to www.mapquest.com for directions.
The Conference will be Friday evening 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. We are asking for participants to consider a liquids only fast starting at 7 p.m. Friday evening to Saturday at 3 p.m. We realize not everyone can do this fast, but encourage those who cannot do a food fast to consider some other type of fast for the period (e.g. no Ipod; no cell phone or other technology).
Cost: We are still determining exact costs, but hope to keep it under $25 per person for the weekend. We want as many women as possible to attend.
Volunteers needed: We need intercessors (trained prayer partners) who will pray with individual participants, and small group leaders who will facilitate small groups for prayer using a prayer guide. If you want to volunteer please email Dr. Meg J. Rinck at mjrinck@hotmail.com
